www.dogsforwomen.com Shares First Hand Experience with Dog Seizures and begins to Explore Methods to Lessen Them

Miami, FL – Are there steps dog owners can take to help prevent or lessen the frequency of their dog’s seizures? Dogsforwomen.com, the new website for women who share an interest and love for dogs, reports some interesting personal observations. Deb Eyerdam, President of Dogsforwomen.com explains, “Our five year old Golden Retriever, Jake, was averaging a seizure once a month (even though he takes Phenobarbital twice a day). In the five months since we adopted our second dog, a puppy named Maggie Mae, Jake’s seizures first lessened to two months and then to three months a part.” Could the dog companion be responsible for increasing exercise and/or lessening stress that ultimately affects the frequency of seizures? Eyerdam writes about the change she has witnessed in a newly published article, “An Old Dog Can Teach You New Tricks.”

“The change in frequency has been dramatic. And his most recent seizure was probably the mildest yet. I intend to continue to explore this issue and see if there aren’t more steps that can be taken to positively impact Jake’s seizures,” Eyerdam explains.

Dogsforwomen.com is a new website created especially for women:
• To help women make informed choices when shopping for a dog to suit their lifestyle,
• Continue to make good choices about socialization, training, nutrition, etc. after they bring the new pup home,

• Give women who must give up their dog a venue to find another female to adopt their pet (and visa versa),
• Give women a site to share photos and stories about their dogs, and perhaps win a contest or two along the way. Thus www.dogsforwomen.com was born.

Some of the Meta tags added to www.dogsforwomen.com include keywords: dog seizures, dog training tips, dog training books, positive dog training, dog behavior advice, house training a dog, dog obedience tips, puppy training, adding a new puppy, bringing a puppy home, training an older dog, and dog training aids. Content for the website is updated bi-weekly and includes recommended reading for dog owners and potential future dog owners.

The website welcomes comments and photos from dog owners on its dog blog at dogsforwomen.com and is actively seeking individuals and businesses that want to reach this targeted market with products and services. The site welcomes the opportunity to link with animal shelters, veterinarians, newspapers and other organizations that have dogs available for adoption to women.
