YoNaturals seeks schools around the U.S. to participate in their new "no cost" program

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) August 21, 2007 -- RENO, NV - August 21, 2007 --- Reno High School has a new 'partner' in its fight against childhood obesity - a healthy vending machine.

Thanks to a private-public partnership with YoNaturals Inc., the nation’s largest healthy vending company, many Washoe County students will be a little healthier and a lot happier today. YoNaturals is bringing its high tech vending machines to Reno area schools this week as part of an expanding nationwide program. The launch comes as many U.S. public schools become the focus of efforts to reduce child obesity.

Participating in the Reno area healthy vending pilot program are Reno High School, I Can Do Anything Charter, Galena High School, Damonte High School, McQueen High School, and Sparks Middle High School. YoNaturals launched the first healthy vending program featuring organic and all-natural snacks this year to illustrate a point. People will eat healthy snacks and beverages as long as they taste good says Mark Trotter founder and CEO of YoNaturals.

The YoZone healthy vending machines are filled with an assortment of organic and natural snacks from companies ranging from Organic Valley, Stacy's Chips, to Clif Bars and Tazo Teas as well as many other healthy products providing Reno area students with the best in taste and a healthier alternative to traditional school snacks. "We're very pleased to be part of this program with YoNaturals to provide our students with healthier food choices throughout the day. Our whole school district during lunch and after school events," says Patty Allyn of McQueen High School. "Our whole school district has implemented a wellness program and the YoZone machine fits well within the guidelines. The availability of healthy snacks through our health and consumer education programs, we try to give students information about the effects of unhealthy snacks, and how they can start now to develop healthy habits that will last into their adulthood.

YoNaturals machines are now in 15 states, with requests from more than 2,500 other locations around the county received to date.

The YoNaturals healthy vending program was prompted by Trotter's belief that public/private partnerships can bring about positive change.” I believe that businesses can make a difference especially when business and the public sector - schools and state government, in this case - make issues like child obesity and healthier school foods priorities, big changes can happen.

YoNaturals offers a “one stop” solution to healthier vending including machine distribution, installation, training and complete food distribution of leading natural and organic brands. YoNaturals is also actively seeking schools around the U.S. that want a healthy vending program at no cost to them.
