August 11th saw the 2nd Annual Awards ceremony take place for the Australian Home-Based Business Awards as part of the Victorian Small Business Expo. The ceremony recognized those home-based businesses that achieved a high standard of service and business development within 5 key categories. Creative Junction, a design and marketing business located in the Maroondah region, was nominated for the business category.
The Victorian Minister for Small Business, the Honourable Joe Helper, presented the finalists and the winners of the awards at the launch ceremony for the Expo. Over 30 home based businesses in the areas of merchandising, business services, trade services, hospitality/farming and personal services were selected, with 5 category winners and one major winner presented with trophies.
Creative Junction was one of the finalist within the business services sector, and achieved recognition for its work with its clients and for its approach to running the business.
“This is very exciting for us. We are a relatively new business with plans to grow and expand, and this recognition has motivated us to pursue our goals with vigour”, said Matthew Tibble, one of the owners of Creative Junction.
The awards attracted a diverse representation of the home-based business sector- an industry on the rise with more than 67 per cent of small businesses based in the home.
