WHY: Capitol City Opera performs two main stage season productions; in the Fall and the following Spring. In performing these two productions, Capitol City Opera continues their mission of engaging young local talent and educational outreach to the people of Georgia.

WHERE: Conant Performing Arts Center, Oglethorpe University, 4484 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30319.

WHEN: 8:00 p.m. September 14 and 15, 3:00 p.m. September 15 and 16. An educational lecture about the opera begins one hour before the performance.

HOW: The company has double-cast this production in order to perform two evening shows and two Matinees on the same weekend.

WHO: Capitol City Opera Company, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, has created many recurring programs that benefit all ages and demographics of the general public and has toured throughout the Southeast, as far north as New York and Wisconsin and as far west as Texas, along the east coast and into Florida and also abroad to Italy. Capitol City Opera Company employs an average of 60 singers and reaches approximately 40,000 people through its various programs. Currently, the company performs two
opera theatre shows per year, a quarterly recital series (Sunday of Songs), a monthly restaurant series (Dinner and a Diva), a vocal competition, a summer workshop, touring Madrigals, touring gala singers, Così Fan Tutte on tour, a summer pops concert, and an astonishing 150-200 performances solely for children every year.
