Bright House Networks To Offer New NBC Fall Premieres 2 Weeks Prior To Local Network Broadcast
INDIANAPOLIS - NBC’s anticipated fall lineup of new dramas airs Sept. 24 – but not for Bright House Networks digital customers.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) August 30, 2007 --
That’s because those customers will get to see the first-ever episodes of “Chuck,” “Journeyman,” “Bionic Woman” and “Life” two weeks earlier than everyone else in Indianapolis thanks to an agreement between NBC Universal and Bright House Networks.
On Sept. 10, Bright House Networks digital customers throughout Indiana can tune to either Entertainment On Demand or HD Showcase on Demand to see the four new NBC shows. This unique opportunity also includes “extras” for other season premiers like “The Office,” “30 Rock” and “Scrubs.”
“What is exciting about this is that Bright House Networks will be able to show the new shows to our customers long before WTHR, the local NBC affiliate, airs them in the Indianapolis market,” said Buz Nesbit, president of Bright House Networks Indiana Division. “And these programs will be offered as part of our Video On Demand channels, which means that customers may watch the fall premieres at any time they choose when it is most convenient for them.”
Video On Demand is a fully interactive video service which customers can watch programming and movies at their convenience; Video On Demand is exclusively offered by cable companies and is not available to satellite subscribers.
In Indianapolis, WTHR is set to broadcast the first episodes of the new NBC fall lineup on Sept. 24.
Entertainment On Demand is included in Bright House Networks’ digital offerings at no additional cost to digital customers. HD Showcase On Demand is a part of Bright House Networks’ digital HD Pak.
