Reared in ahousing project called James M.Baxter Terrace.The only daughter of the late William and Minnie McKenzie, emrges from the ashes of life, the psalmist, lyricist, arranger, actress, poet, playwright, producer, director, minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, (as God order our steps, truly the artistry of Beverly A. McKenzie formally known as "JAMILLAH" has been order.)
Having the gift to mobilize, organize, and inspire those she come in contact with, her purpose driven journey has led her to work with many artists. She has sung on many stages and done numerous recordings with some of the top secular artists in the country. Since dedicating her life to her first love "Jesus Christ" she has taken all she has learned and became equipped for the kingdom of God. As an spiritual counselor and motivational speaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, this woman of God is certainly doing what God has called her to do, "bring the gospel of Jesus Christ" to all she comes in contact with. As the executive director of Road To Damascus Evangelistic Ministries Team and a member of from the Heart Ministries of Philadelphia, her mission is clear, that reaching souls and making disciples of others is the mandate and goal. For this mission one would have to have a deep love and compassion and commitment to Christ. "To go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."
