New Orleans, Louisiana -- Like “The Little Engine that Could,” a saintly New Orleans Web Site, SaintsforSinners.com, has been gathering steam and overcoming challenges. Back in business after being decimated by Hurricane Katrina and the ensuing flood, SaintsforSinners.com is yet another shining example of the dramatic recovery taking place throughout New Orleans and the Deep South.
Established in 1997, SaintsforSinners.com offers hundreds of hand-painted saint medals and serenity stories of saints throughout the ages, striving to provide serenity and comfort to all who visit the web site and wear the medals. What’s more, it does so in a decidedly offbeat and non-denominational fashion, telling the saints’ courageous stories in a fun, contemporary style – perfect for both the devout and the unconvinced.
Many of the medals are individually selected in France and Italy and are then hand-painted in vivid enamels and glaze, giving the age-old saints a shiny new presence in our modern world. In that regard, the rejuvenated medals are not unlike SaintsforSinners.com itself, which lost both its headquarters and inventory to Hurricane Katrina. Undaunted – and perhaps, divinely inspired – founder Rob Clemenz began the rebuilding process in October, 2005 and looks forward to celebrating Saints for Sinners 10th Anniversary on June, 11, 2007.
Pre and Post Hurricane Katrina photographs available on the web site under the “Katrina – NOT a Saint!” Link
Images are available at www.Saintsforsinners.com. Product samples and serenity stories are available upon request.
