India, Republic of (Press Release) September 7, 2007 --
With Goa being one of the most popular tourist destinations in India it is not uncommon for those visiting to spend as much as 6 months in this paradise, some come for the adventure, some come to run away from the harsh winters back home and some come for they're medical treatment.
Goa has a large number of dentists cropping up over the last couple of years which makes the client feel a little skeptical on they're ability to give quality dentistry. Well being a dentist i feel the need to explain a few things and make sure that the quality of dentistry is maintained to its top most standards here in Goa.
There are few basic rules to follow whichif kept i guarentee the dental experience will be good:
1)Make sure your dentist is registered in the Goa dental council. His registration will ensure to you that he is a qualified dentist and knows what he is doing.
2)If you are going in for major work like full mouth rehabilitations, implants, cosmetic dentistry , etc fistly get to know your dentist on the initial visit. All the dentists in Goa ould be fluent in English and generally friendly. Give a little time so the dentist also know your expectations and can give you work which will meet up to that.
3)One major problem i face in my practice is lack of time, sometimes. So my advice is in the 1st few days of your holiday go for the check up so that your treatment can be planned around your holiday making sure you enjoy both. Time is something very important in dentistry and sometimes quality work takes time to fabricate along with surgeries taking time to heal, so make it a point to visit your dentist as early in the holiday as possible.
4)Dont worry about pricing most dentists in goa would use only imported material right from they're chair to the smallest of hand held equipment, hygiene is always maintained. So good dentitry would be expensive but compared to the pricing in UK it would still be about 1/3rd of it.
All in all the final results rests in your hands as much as it does in the dentist follow these few guidelines and it will make the work easier and faster on both sides.
Most of all enjoy the holiday and go back with a new smile.
