Musicadium artist Casey Barnes to perform at Rock4Connor

Connor Maclean shares more than a passion for entertaining with his idol Robbie Williams. On stage their charismatic performances leave their audiences wanting more, but off stage, both have their fair shares of dramas.
Ten-year-old Connor is already building a reputation for his ability to 'entertain you,' but behind the scenes, he faces daily battles so rare and unlike any other known Australian child.
Connor has full spectrum VACTERL syndrome - a condition he has had since birth. The name of the syndrome is an acronym, with each letter standing for a specific abnormality a person can be born with.
Anyone with three or more abnormalities can be diagnosed with VACTERL Syndrome. In Connor's case, he not only has all aspects of the non-genetic VACTERL syndrome, he also has other non-related problems, making his condition as rare as one in a million.
To date, Connor has undergone 40 operations. He also:
Cannot swallow properly. He has a feeding tube for medicine and supplements.
Has complex bladder problems which are maintained daily.
Has complex bowel problems as a result of having had most of his large bowel removed.
Wears hand/arm splints on both hands due to limb deficiencies.
Wear splints in his shoes to help support his weight.
Has hearing loss in his right ear and wears a hearing aide
Has a life-threatening allergy to Latex/rubber.
His ongoing daily medication also means that Connor needs to have 1 to 2 procedures every two hours, something his mother Cheryl juggles around Connor's schooling and her work.
Already a popular and seasoned performer for The Children's Hospital at Westmead Teddy Bear's Picnic event, Connor has been busy fine-tuning his act for his next big performance, Rock4Connor.
The chance to be a rock star and sing alongside his mate, singer/songwriter Casey Barnes, is a dream come true for Connor. Knowing about his upcoming concert, organised by m.a.d.woman, Casey and his wife Michelle through her company Ultra PR/Events, helped him get through his last operation.
Now Connor, like a true performer, will not let his offstage battle stand in his way to get on stage and rock the house down!
Casey Barnes took the initiative to digitally distribute his music via Musicadium. By spreading the word and fan base of his music, he hopes to gain exposure for the sprightly young man Conner who wants to entertain you.
