GREEN APPLE AGENCY DEBUTS
ORLANDO (Sept. 10, 2007) -- Partners Bernie Pisczek, Paul Nutcher and Mark Schulz have officially finalized their purchase of the physical assets, intellectual property, client files, and related equipment of Bertram & Bertram, Inc. and formed Green Apple Group, LLC.
Paul and Marsha "Marty" Bertram of Bertram & Bertram had formerly operated the business for 29 years as PRB Design Studio, Inc. in Orlando.
Pisczek, Nutcher and Schultz are all prior PRB employees and their plan for the new firm is to continue to specialize in the construction industry and to develop marketing strategies and branding for “green” or sustainable building products and services.
"The green initiatives in the building industry are no longer fads or trends. This represents a direction that is permanent and quite necessary in order to preserve the future of our planet," Pisczek explained. "Green Apple Group will strive to be a major player in assisting manufacturers to understand and market their products within a framework of sustainability.”
Paul Bertram, who founded PRB in 1978, was instrumental in the early stages of the green building movement, which began following the 1987 Montreal Protocol treaty on substances that deplete the ozone layer. The movement has grown in recent years due to government mandates and non-governmental organizations seeking a reduction in the sources of climate change.
While they were PRB employees, Pisczek and Schulz developed the LEAD DOG GQ (Green Quotient) software program, which was the industry’s first tool for objectively assessing the environmental attributes of building products. The three principals are currently developing a new program to analyze a product’s Life Cycle costing.
