About your new email software
Microsoft Outlook: Microsoft Outlook is part of Microsoft Office. Outlook comes in numerous versions including 97, 98, 2000, 2002, XP, and 2003. ePreserver does not support Outlook 97, Outlook 98 or Outlook 2000. Outlook should not be confused with Outlook Express, which is part of Internet Explorer and is included with
Windows.
Address Book: After running ePreserver, the contacts from your AOL address book are copied to your Outlook Contacts folder. Make sure you look in the contacts folder and not the address book because the address book only contains people who have email addresses.
Email: Your AOL email is copied into the Outlook in the Inbox, Sent Items, and other folders. If you are running Outlook XP, make sure you go to the View menu and check the box labeled "Folder List".
Favorites: Your Favorite Places from AOL can be found by starting Internet Explorer, going to the Favorites menu, and looking for "MyScreenName's Imported Favorites" where MyScreenName is replaced with the screen name you converted.
Outlook Express: Outlook Express is an email application that is included with Microsoft Internet Explorer, versions 4, 5 and 6. Outlook Express uses the Windows Address Book (WAB) to hold your contacts. In Windows Vista, Outlook Express is replaced with
Windows Mail.
Windows Address Books: Windows Address Book (WAB) is part of Outlook Express, which is made by Microsoft. This is a free product that is included with almost all versions of Windows.
