United States of America (Press Release) September 14, 2007 --
(Columbus, Ohio) Cooper Tire & Rubber Company, a Findlay, Ohio-based tire manufacturer, has the mission of bringing its brand to life. They are accomplishing this goal using the grand prix of mobile marketing _ a dynamic customized 53-foot trailer. The fully-staffed vehicle travels the race car circuit bringing excitement and vitality to Cooper’s high-tech, ultra-high performance products and services.
Cooper provided the trailer and initial renderings and Creative Mobile Interiors, a custom vehicle conversion specialist also located in central Ohio, built the trailer. The trailer attracts visitors with music, lights and other effects. “There is no better way to showcase Cooper’s commitment to performance than with mobile marketing that allows Cooper Tire to become more relevant with automotive enthusiasts who can help shape and spread the story of the tire brand person-to-person,” stated Dave Craig, Cooper’s Director of North American Advertising.
Some of the features include an exciting race car game room with six interactive stations and a unique half-moon shaped DJ stand equipped with a fog machine, mixer and amplifier. A spiral staircase leads up to the roof deck providing another area where people can gather and socialize.
“A huge goal was to display their tires in a unique way,” said Josh Gifford, CMI Designer, “so we created a rotating tire display shaped like a triangle.” The display is secured on the back wall protected behind a sheet of plexiglass. The middle wheel rotates causing the other two to rotate in the opposite direction.
The floor even has a unique spin to it with customized black and white checkered tile. The tile, laser-cut by Centiva Manufacturing, gives the unique illusion of a road integrating and becoming part of the wall’s road and race car graphics. And for a quieter atmosphere, the front of the trailer is a separate lounge with leather sofas and a workstation providing a perfect place to relax or conduct business.
As the project progressed, design modifications became necessary. “We worked closely together on the modifications, making many changes on the fly,” said Josh Gifford, CMI Designer. “It was nice to work with a client that was able to make such quick decisions. We worked well together.”
