Sweaney Custom Homes Wins National Pacesetter Award

Bakersfield - Dec/8/06 – CUSTOM HOME Magazine has honored Kern County home builder, Sweaney Construction, Inc., as a Pacesetter Award winner for 2006, according to Leslie Ensor, the magazine’s editor.

The only Kern County firm to ever receive this honor, Sweaney Construction has been designated as one of the custom-home building industry’s top achievers for 2006. Owner Todd Sweaney received the award in front of industry peers at an awards banquet sponsored by CUSTOM HOME Magazine, at the Dragon Ridge Country Club in Henderson Nevada on October 26, 2006.

Sweaney Construction helped to develop and pioneer comprehensive scheduling software that accommodates client change orders and subsequent rescheduling with email and fax notification for every affected sub. If the project is stalled, the system notifies everyone involved of the delay and which sub was the cause. It’s a scheduling and accountability system that has allowed the company to grow more than two-fold in two years without adding any staff.
