Chrisse Feros "Mamafrika" is gently smiling this week as the honours and the accolades continue to pour in for tracks from her albums "This Is How I See It" and "The Mantra Dub".
Nominated for the LA Music Awards 2007 and also winning track for placement on "Diaspora For Africa 2007" her reggae track "Better Way" has now pulled in nine international awards.
The track written and performed by Chrisse features ragga artists "Jahbutu", and also features her drumming group "The Drummers of Toumba Toumba" performing on djembe.
"I am humbled and deeply honoured by the acceptance of my music from the international community and the music industry" says Chrisse.
She is a music producer, singer/songwriter, a founding director of FMC/BadBubba Records and The Voiceworx Academy in Brisbane.
She has co-written and produced the debut album "Somewhere and Nowhere" of artist Chris Bax in 2007 which has already scored four BillBoard Music Awards for four separate tracks from the album. Two publishing companies are already seeking to sign tracks from the album for USA film and television.
Chrisse is producing and mentoring other up and coming artists who are currently in preproduction phase of their careers, "KellR" "Kyl" and "Charlotte". Their albums will be looking to be released in late 2008.
