Iceland, Republic of (Press Release) September 19, 2007 --
Iceland—September 2007--Products from 66°North are now sold in stores in 15 countries, on both sides of the Atlantic. The newest addition to Iceland’s national clothing brand is a new store in Copenhagen’s trendy Norrebro district.
This is only the companies second year selling the brand in it’s neighboring country, but due to great receptions last year the company feels confident taking this bold step. This is 66°North’s first store in Denmark and should get a warm welcome from the large Icelandic population living in Denmark as well as with the hip Danish public.
The store is situated in an old butchery and the styling cues for the store are borrowed from this history with the company’s red colored paint dripping from the walls as if reminding the customer of older times. All in all a very raw and trendy looking store for this Icelandic company with an 80 year old heritage.
The store is located at Ravnsborg Tværgade 3B, 2200 Køvenhavn N.
