India, Republic of (Press Release) September 20, 2007 --
Navi Mumbai, September 20, 2007: India Property Hotline (IPH) launched India’s first property hotline service in Navi Mumbai on September 15, 2007. A prospective property buyer can call up the property hotline telephone number or send a pre-formatted code to its SMS hotline number or visit their dedicated city-specific websites and get information about developers’ projects and property agents of India.
When contacted, Subhendu Sen, CEO of India Property Hotline says, “Though there are quite a few property portals for Indian properties, the fact remains that the majority of the property buyers do not have access to the Internet. We wanted to offer a property information system, which was more accessible by the mass buyers.”
IPH’s telephone property hotline (022.2770 6900) is an IVR (Interactive Voice Response) system, which plays back pre-recorded property information depending upon the buyers’ selections. The efficiently designed system prompts the buyer to dial particular numbers for selecting a particular city, area of that city and developers’ projects or property agents of that area.
For buyers who are more comfortable with SMSing, IPH has offered SMS property hotline (0.98 6060 9000) service, which is again an automated system which SMSes back the property information of a city, area, developers’ projects and agents’ contact details, depending upon the simple code (like, GET) sent to the system.
Sen adds, “Our telephone and SMS hotline numbers are not premium numbers. Callers do not pay premium rates for calling or SMSing to these numbers. We have kept it like this so that the buyers from all over the world can call or SMS our hotline numbers”.
It’s not just property hotline numbers, IPH has also launched it primary website (IndiaPropertyHotline.com) which is to be connected to separate websites dedicated to each major property destination. Sen says, “Like our property hotline systems, we have also made our website interface very neat, clean and simple. Our websites do not have (and will never have) any banner, box or pop-up ads. In less than a second’s time a buyer gets into action of finding his dream home at our website.”
IPH lists only five projects and agents’ names from an area. Why five? Sen replies, “Too many options actually confuse buyers. The five projects or the five agents’ names that we provide from an area, can lead a buyer to hundreds of properties.”
IPH currently offers properties from Navi Mumbai – the hottest property destination of India. “We will launch Mumbai and Thane within a month or two and will rapidly expand to other ten major destinations”, Sen says.
