For_Immediate_Release:

United States of America (Press Release) September 27, 2007 -- San Jose, CA, September 27, 2007 – DataSelf Corporation, a publisher of business intelligence solutions for the mid-market, has released its new budgeting module for the general market.

"This is for mid-size firms who want flexibility, security and automatic budgeting functions." said DataSelf CEO Joni Girardi. "We 'slow-cooked' this solution, and now it's ready for prime time."

The solution offers two main ways to update and analyze budgets: The first option is dedicated BI solution, which provides a self-contained, user-friendly and secured interface. The second option is MS Excel, which provides a familiar framework to most mid-size companies.

Like every other DataSelf Business Intelligence (BI) application, the budgeting module makes work easy for managers of mid-size firms.

When planning for the coming year, the module automatically starts with annualized actuals from the current year. Year-over-year adjustments can be applied across-the-board and fine-tuned. For example, if a manager projects a 5% increase in sales or payroll, that percentage can be filled in for the whole year. The change will propagate to every period and sub-account, and it can then be fine-tuned. If payroll won't jump by the same percentage in the first quarter, the manager could use the same automatic function to adjust increases by quarter.

Budgets can also be distributed to divisions, letting division managers see only their own division's figures.

The module is a solid extension of the DataSelf Business Intelligence solution into finance. DataSelf first developed the module at the request of one customer and later offered it to several others. Only after DataSelf was completely confident in it did the company integrate it for general distribution.

"We've been helping mid-size companies with business intelligence solutions for over 10 years," says Joni Girardi, CEO of DataSelf Corporation. "We've learned a lot about how mid-size firms budget--and we've put our knowledge into this new module."

The complete BI solution comes with templates for over 500 reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) covering several business areas of mid-sized organizations. Managers set up reports out of the box and adapt the templates as needed. They can even build new reports from scratch faster than it takes to eat a donut. In fact, non-technical users of DataSelf BI find they complete from 70% to 100% of their reporting needs without help from IT--and in a fraction of the time required on competing platforms.

Thanks to the pre-defined reports and KPIs, managers can try out new metrics they may have only heard of before. Many DataSelf BI clients have seen an immediate return on their DataSelf BI investment just by monitoring trends revealed by these reports.
