United States of America (Press Release) September 30, 2007 -- BJ Binning, published author of the book “Circumstances” is all of the above and so much more. She was not born a Californian but has lived in Bakersfield most of her adult life. She has graced the runways as a model here in Bakersfield, and abroad, in such places as Australia, The Philippines, the Bahamas and in Europe.

At 5’9” she stands tall not only in height but also in achievements. A few years ago, she decided to make it one of her long term goals to write a book about life. During this month, her goal was achieved. The book was published and released.

In the book, Binning asks her readers the ultimate question; “Are you happy with your choices in life and the circumstances that those choices have allowed?” The story behind the book comes from within because Binning is passionate about people who make bad choices and then blame the outcome, if negative, on everything and everyone except themselves. According to Binning, our society is too tolerant when it comes to excuses. Our children today are failing in school and in life because they are not taking responsibility for their choices and when they drop out of school there are no consequences.

Binning is a firm believer in the statement, “You are the master of your fate and the captain of your soul.” She believes that you can do anything you want to do, no matter the color of your skin, your religion or the class of your family. All you have to do is put your mind to it! She is hoping, with this book, to motivate students and adults alike to realize that all they have to do is “make a choice” and then do what it takes to get them to where they need to be. Stop blaming and start doing and be the change you want to see in this world!
