Kinky, and his cigars, at Pop’s Oct. 15
Fort Worth, Texas –Kinky Friedman, singer/songwriter, comedian, philosopher, Texas Favorite Son, Friend of Willie's, Democratic candidate for Governor, cigar connoisseur, conservationist, animal protector, writer of great books, humorist and critic of Rick Perry's hairdo, will be at Pop’s Safari Room Oct. 15 for a cigar signing and VIP reception.
The reception, from 4:40 p.m.-6:30 p.m. is limited to 200 attendees; two tickets are available free of charge for every box of Kinky Friedman cigars ordered.
Pop’s is the first retailer in Tarrant County for the Kinky Friedman Cigar Company, which features cigars in five sizes - The Governor, Kinkycristo, Texas Jewboy, The Willie and Utopian. Profits from the Utopian go to Kinky’s Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch. The cigars are made of hand-rolled Habana wrappers grown in Honduras with a blended filler of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos and Costa Rican binders.
Pop’s Safari Room, at 2929 Morton Street in Fort Worth, is a restaurant and wine and cigar bar. Boxes of Kinky Friedman cigars can be pre-ordered by calling Pop’s at (817) 334-0559.
