Light breathable fabrics like cotton might be slightly more expensive, but are more comfortable for everyday wear.

Longer cuts are often more flattering to post partum bodies. Cuts that are shaped, but not fitted, are comfortable and flattering.

Tops that open from top to bottom (using dop clip bra) often do not keep as much skin closed in the chest area as breastfeeding tops that have under-bust openings.

Many regular wrap tops are great for breastfeeding. Simply move aside one of the cups to breastfeed discreetly.

If you are tall, some breastfeeding dresses make great tunic length breastfeeding tops. Try them with jeans or leggings for a modern look.

Make sure that the breastfeeding openings are well positioned and large enough, especially if you have a larger breast size. There is nothing worse than a breastfeeding top of which the breastfeeding openings are too small.

Breastfeeding tops are generally contemporary in design and the hidden openings so well disguised that they can be worn after breastfeeding is discontinued. This makes feeding tops good value for money investments.

The built-in bras in breastfeeding tops generally give light to medium support only. Mums with larger breast sizes might prefer breastfeeding tops without built-in bras thatallow them to wear a regular maternity bra underneath for better support.
