For the last several months, ComponentOne has been diligently supporting Microsoft Corp. leading up to the ReMIX event. In this event, Microsoft will present an incredibly valuable snapshot of the new Microsoft Silverlight media presentation engine. ComponentOne will be a co-sponsor of this event.
Importantly, ComponentOne is also supporting Microsoft with the use of ComponentOne’s Grid for Silverlight control as a central element of the ReMIX demonstration and event site. Bernardo de Castilho, ComponentOne’s CTO, stated that “ComponentOne is able to augment Silverlight with stylized tools, skins, presentation controls and many other tools. This really provides a compelling and substantive demonstration of the full potential of Silverlight.”
ComponentOne tools are exposed within the ReMIX agenda on the ReMIX site. ComponentOne has designed the agenda using several Microsoft products including Silverlight, Microsoft Expression Blend, and Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. The ComponentOne Studio Enterprise Silverlight Toolset is a complete RIA (rich internet application) toolset that includes basic UI controls such as buttons, containers, date/time, lists, sliders, and text as well as powerful grid, chart, and schedule controls. Each control leverages Microsoft’s Extensible Application Markup Language (XAML) technology and the powerful graphics and design features found in the new Microsoft Expression Studio, a suite of products to fully support skins, graphics, and animation.
