United States of America (Press Release) October 16, 2007 --
Santa Barbara, California - President Mike Molyneux proudly announced, “In keeping with our reputation of giving the industry what is needed, GIGAVAC now offers more RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) fully compliant high voltage relays than all other manufacturers in the world combined. We believe our RoHS relays are an important step in making the planet a safer place today and in the future. GIGAVAC still offers non-compliant relays for special applications such as aerospace where ‘tin-whiskers’ can be a problem. GIGAVAC is known as today’s expert in high voltage relays and new product development. We are proud to lead the industry with these environmentally friendly products.”
The European Union RoHS directive (which took effect on July 1, 2006) restricts the use of six hazardous materials in the manufacture of various types of electronic and electrical equipment. GIGAVAC’s RoHS fully compliant high voltage relays have a maximum 0.1% concentration by weight in homogeneous materials of lead, hexavalent chromium, mercury, PBB and PBDE; and a 0.01% concentration of cadmium.
“There is no longer any reason why the users cannot have fully compliant high voltage relays in their systems, because GIGAVAC has RoHS fully compliant drop-in replacements in stock for nearly all relays made by other manufacturers,” explains Jim Lanum, GIGAVAC’s VP of Sales. “We offer vacuum, gas filled & reed HV relays as well as sealed Contactors for DC and AC switching up to 750 Volts, fully RoHS compliant at the same, low prices and in stock, ready to ship today.”
GIGAVAC accepts all major credit cards and generally ships the same day the order is received. Representatives throughout the world can deliver the products in the user's country and currency at the lowest possible cost.
