I think you know when you have truly found your passion… when what you do transcends all that you know.

When you jump out of bed in the morning because you love what you do. That is passion. When you feel so filled with gratitude it spills out your ears! I feel this way many times throughout my day. My passion is teaching, inspiring and loving others. It is a great gift.

What is your passion? Can you define that term? Have you thought about what brings you so much joy that it spills out your ears?

Sometimes we find joy in something small like a smile as we walk by a stranger, joy in a sunrise, joy in holding the door for someone, joy in a field of flowers, joy in eating dinner with a loved one, joy in reading a book, it can be anything. Can something that brings you joy be defined as a passion?

This is a good question and I think yes. When you are feeling joy you are in that moment of true blissful passion. The truth is passion can be found is the little things in life. The little things are what make up the big picture. Like grains of sand… you have these moments of joy and passion for what you are experiencing or doing and soon you realize you have the whole beach… Each individual grain of sand is an experience and during that experience you felt passionate, you felt alive and full of joy.

I imagine myself with a handful of sand… and all of these little moments of joy and passion slowly drain through my fingers onto my huge endless beach… how rich, how full life is…
