Artist Prof Vimla Bisht passes away

(Free-Press-Release.com) October 24, 2007 -- Prof. Vimla Bisht, ceramic artist, ex-principal of Arts’ College, Lucknow, and better half of late artist RS Bisht passes away in Lucknow, India

Prof. Vimla Bisht, ex-principal of Arts College, Lucknow passed away on 22 October 2007 at her residence at C-345 Indiranagar. Her late husband, Padmashree Prof Ranbir Singh Bisht was also ex-principal of the same college before Vimla Bisht.
Vimla was an accomplished ceramic artist while RS Bisht earned national and international accolade in landscape and modern art.

Their children Ramila, Labir, Barila and Pushpila survive the duo. They were preparing for their father’s tenth death-anniversary tribute when Vimla Bisht lost her breath. She will be fondly remembered as a warm and courageous person who enjoyed her artwork as much as she enjoyed teaching it to the younger lot.

Prolonged, debilitating illness did little to fatigue this ceramic artist. Her home, decorated with ceramic tiles she made herself, duly compliment Prof RS Bisht’s artwork displayed inside their home.
