United States of America (Press Release) October 25, 2007 --
Alan Mendelson, the well known "moneyman" on Southern California TV stations and host of the Best Deals TV show is reporting that retailers and real estate agents in the Southern California area should prepare for a boomlet -- a brief economic expansion -- in coming weeks because of the Southern California wild fires.
"It happens after every disaster," says Mendelson who hosts a TV show that is geared to helping retailers reach the public with their deals. "When the insurance money and government grants start pouring in, families will spend the money buying new homes, new appliances, new furniture, new clothing, new artwork. Even families that did not have their homes destroyed by fire will be getting money to pay for smoke damage, repairs and cleanup, and this money will be immediately going into the local economy," observes Mendelson.
"We saw this after the Northridge Earthquake, recalls Mendelson. "In fact, Southern California was going through a real estate slump when the quake hit, and within a matter of weeks, the housing slump was over as families used insurance money to find new homes and condos to replace those that were destroyed. I remember real estate agents telling me that any home without damage after the quake that was for sale was immediately off the market and sold. I am expecting to see something like that now following the destruction of hundreds of houses in Southern California. And for those families who choose to rebuild on their land, the flood of insurance money and insurance spending will mean construction work, construction jobs, and spending on building materials. This is what a boomlet is all about," says Mendelson. Mendelson is available for media interviews and can be reached through Creative Services Advertising in Los Angeles, the producers of his TV show, at (213) 252-2272.
His article and report on the economic boomlet following the Southern California wild fires is on the web site www.BestDealsTVshow.com in the Alerts section. Mendelson and CSA also produce half hour TV informercials and radio and TV commercials for retailers and discounters in the Southern California and Nevada markets. The Best Deals TV Show is broadcast on KCAL-TV Channel 9 in Los Angeles.

An economic boomlet or buying binge will soon sweep through Southern California as insurance and government money comes to fire victims, says Alan Mendelson of BestDealsTVshow.com -- a noted reporter.
