Earned Susan J. Groeneveld Award of Excellence After Completing Training Program
CHICAGO (October 2007) – Alex Johnson, CCIM of Laurex Realty Advisors, was given the Susan J. Groeneveld Award of Excellence for his participation in the 2007 Jay W. Levine Leadership Development Academy, a program established by the CCIM Institute to help foster the development of the next generation of leaders in the commercial investment real estate industry.
Johnson, President of Laurex Realty Advisors of Plano, Texas, was given the award by fellow completed Academy participants because his work demonstrated the following characteristics:
1. The greatest potential for future leadership within the CCIM Institute.
2. The most growth or development since the Academy began.
3. The most contributions to the classes held in terms of questions, suggestions, ideas or examples.
The Levine Academy program was created to build a network of leaders whose increased awareness and commitment to service will help shape the future of the CCIM Institute. The academy is named in memory of Jay W. Levine, CCIM #2 and the first president of the CCIM Institute. Mr. Levine was an inspirational and industry leader for close to four decades before his death in January 2002.
The Susan J. Groeneveld Award was named after the current CCIM Institute Executive Vice President, Susan J. Groeneveld, CAE, CCIM, a driving force behind the establishment of the Academy.
Established in 2003, the Leadership Development Academy is designed to encourage, strengthen and build the pool of future leaders for the top volunteer positions within the CCIM organization. Participants also develop personal talents and skills that impact and influence everyday business relationships.
