He first joined Baker & Daniels in 1972 and served as managing partner from 1987 to 1992. Before his recent return to the firm, he retired as executive vice president and chief legal and administrative officer for Indianapolis-based WellPoint Inc., the nation's largest health insurance company.
“David has a long and distinguished track record in business and with his experience in the health care industry, he is a great addition to our Board of Managers,” said Alan C. Stanford, president and CEO of My Health Care Manager.
Frick was deputy mayor of Indianapolis from 1977 to 1982. He played a key role in the redevelopment of downtown Indianapolis and was the chief negotiator to keep the Indiana Pacers in town in 1983 and bring the Indianapolis Colts to the city in 1984. As director of employer program / chief legal counsel, Tittle brings a vast array of experience in health care, government service and private legal practice to My Health Care Manager. Prior to joining the company, he served as special counsel and health policy director to Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels for two-and-a-half years. In that capacity, Tittle was the governor’s policy advisor on health care initiatives and legislative actions.
He also served as the liaison between the governor’s office and health-related state agencies, including the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, the Indiana Department of Child Services, the Indiana Department of Health and the Indiana Department of Insurance.
Before joining the Daniels administration, Tittle spent three years as an attorney at the Indianapolis office of law firm Baker & Daniels LLP where he counseled clients on corporate and regulatory insurance matters.
