United States of America (Press Release) October 30, 2007 --
A San Bernardino mother who mistakenly swabbed her baby’s nose with a methamphetamine-laced Q-tip has hired Anthony Luti of The Luti Law Firm to defend her.
Elizabeth Reta told police that her parolee boyfriend refused to allow her to take the child to the hospital for fear that he would be sent back to prison, according to police reports.
Elizabeth Reta told detectives that her new boyfriend, Juan “Johnny” Sanchez, tried for three days to get her 8-month-old son, Samuel “off the high” by tying him to a bed, shaking him, slapping him and splashing him with cold water. Sanchez, 32, was convicted of robbery in 2001 and deported, but apparently returned to the country illegally, authorities said.
“Elizabeth looks forward to defending these charges in court,” said Luti. “This is a good mother, a former day care worker and child care provider who regularly took her children to the hospital. She is in no way what she has been portrayed to be.”
Anthony Luti a trial lawyer and founder of The Luti Law Firm, Mr. Luti is the rare trial attorney who practices in the areas of both civil and criminal litigation. Since establishing The Luti Law Firm three years ago, Luti’s litigation practice has gained significant prominence in the Southern California community.
