BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (NOVEMBER 4, 2007) -- The St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party celebrated the third anniversary of its third term on Sunday. Prime Minister and Party Leader, the Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, his Cabinet colleagues, Party Executive, and supporters, congregated at the Lighthouse Baptist Church for worship, in the town of Sandy Point.
The St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party was returned to office in late October 2004, winning seven of the eight Constituencies on the island of St. Kitts. The People’s Action Movement represents the remaining Constituency on St. Kitts while the Concerned Citizens Movement represents two of the three Constituencies on Nevis and the Nevis Reformation Party represents the remaining one.
In July of 1995, the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party toppled Simmonds’ PAM Administration, winning seven of the eight Constituencies on St. Kitts, and has continued to win landslide victories at the polls since then, winning all eight Constituencies in 2000 and seven of the eight in 2004.
