The web site includes several daily news stories, and a podcast centered around top stories in the airline and related industries. News is published about US and International Airlines, airports, frequent flyer programs and the financial a labor facets of the airline industry.

According to editor and podcast host, Mark Lassoff, The Airline Insider is geared toward frequent flyers, airline employees and airline investors. Lassoff suspects that a great many airline “hobbyists” will frequently visit the site as well. “The airline industry is so vast, and so interesting that many people who don’t work in the industry professional—or even people who don’t have to fly very often—keep up with the latest airline news,” said Lassoff.

TheAirlineInsider.com web site also solicits user feedback on the stories and audio podcasts posted. “It’s not a newspaper,” remarked Lassoff, “One of the things that will make the site successful is interaction with the users who visit.”
The audio podcast will also be hosted on the web site and will be available on a frequent basis. “The audio podcasts will often feature longer, more in-depth stories with interviews and even some investigative reports,” said Lassoff.

Lassoff has plans on monetizing the site in the near future. Right now Lassoff is focused on building an audience for the site that he can sell to advertisers. Lassoff stated, “There are other airline news sites o out there, but none are professionally edited and none have a related podcast. I know this will be a success.”
