United States of America (Press Release) November 6, 2007 --
Tan Zone has one salon already open at 14765 Hazel Dell Crossing in the Noble West Plaza in Noblesville. The other is scheduled to open for business the second week of November at 218 W. 161st St. in Springmill Commons in Westfield.
“To find the right location for a tanning salon, I look at the complete demographic makeup of an area, including income and population. Throughout my years in the business, Hamilton County is the best location for a tanning salon that I have ever seen,” said owner Patrick Daly.
A graduate of Ferrum College in Virginia, Daly said he wanted to get into the salon business since he was young. He opened three tanning salons in Danville, Va., wanting to offer something new to customers. “I always felt that the tanning business was a bit behind the times,” he said. “I thought I could offer the latest technology and newest products that hadn’t been available to customers before.”
That is why Daly turned to Indianapolis-headquartered ETS Tan, the world’s largest manufacturer of indoor tanning beds. Daly met ETS regional sales manager Clay Lickliter in 2004 at the Indoor Tanning Association’s World Tanning Expo in Nashville, Tenn. Lickliter helped Daly set up his tanning salons in Virginia and Daly told Lickliter to keep his eyes open for any other areas that would be prime spots for tanning in the future.
As Hamilton County residents for 17 years, Lickliter and his wife Amy noticed the Noble West Plaza and Springmill Commons areas as potential tanning hotspots. After its purchase in May 2007, the first Tan Zone salon opened in Noblesville on Oct. 22 with 3,300 square feet of space. Both salons will offer a unique experience featuring the latest in high-pressure tanning and skin rejuvenation facial treatments.
The Tan Zone in Noblesville offers five levels of tanning with 22 ETS Tan beds, including the Solaris 336, Solaris 442, SolarForce 648, SS755, SolarForce 652V and SS756V. The salon also offers exciting additions to traditional tanning with the Rejuvasun 332 and Velocity™ HP1000 beds.
ETS Tan’s Rejuvasun Spa bed features revolutionary light technology, offering customers beauty treatments and tanning all in one single unit. Clients can experience beauty-enhancing light therapy sessions only, tanning only or combine both in one 20-minute session. “I think the Rejuvasun is what sets us apart from some of the other salons in the state and each of our locations will have four units,” Amy Lickliter said.
The Tan Zone in Westfield will offer 23 beds in a trendier atmosphere with vibrant colors to create a younger feel. Both salons will also offer a MyMyst™ Mystic Tan booth along with air conditioning and a changing area in each room.
The salons also offer customers convenient tanning hours, open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
