According to Backcare Basics owner, Luanne Garrubbo, the product has been unavailable because of a change in ownership by its Norwegian manufacturer, Stokke. Stokke was purchased sometime last year by Norwegian based, Varièr Furniture. Up until this point, the new owners had not yet resumed business in the United States but consumer demand for the product led Backcare Basics to pursue a new relationship with Varièr
