CalActive.com Launches Super Portal For Outdoor Activities in California

A further click takes you to the Details page, where the individual activity is described in detail. Each activity can then be placed in the Shopping Cart, and the entire slate of vacation activities can be booked with one click. Customers are then issued an electronic E-Ticket which confirms their bookings and is then redeemed onsite.

“Independent activity brokers are an established business in Hawaii,” says CalActive Founder and Funtrepeneur Billy Fried. “They started as brick and mortar kiosks in the tourist centers, and naturally migrated to the web. It’s never been done in California because everything is too spread out. But the web changes everything and enables us to consolidate and organize all the activities into one portal,” says Fried.
