My Pet Dragon, Force of an entire rock band with beautiful, bittersweet songs, carried across with a stunning voice of lifting intensity, power, and flexibility

United States of America (Press Release) November 9, 2007 -- My Pet Dragon is a Brooklyn, NY based act creating a buzz because of their unique sound and live show. The sound of My Pet Dragon comes from singer/guitarist Todd Michaelsen, whose songwriting style blends the epic rock sound of bands such as U2 and Radiohead with various other influences including pop, eastern, and electronica. My Pet Dragon's intense live show consists of Michaelsen's music combined with the mesmerizing classical Indian dancing of his wife, Reena Shah. She uses traditional anklet bells to add shimmering percussion to Michaelsen's compositions. Hadley Tomicki of L.A Taco reviewed their 2006 ArtWallah Festival show and stated that the two performers "filled the entire downtown area with the force of an entire rock band with beautiful, bittersweet songs, carried across with a stunning voice of lifting intensity, power, and flexibility."
