An extraordinary Latin American artist, Katya Romero whose work, both spiritual and physical, exudes the power and passion from her equinoctial homeland. Katya has presented her work in collection oriented expos. For the first time ever, her many years of work are compiled in a two month exhibition, titled "Rebirth."

We are also delighted to announce that Dr. Allan Von Schenkel and Kristen Williams and their music, Basso Moderno Duo, will be returning to perform.The Basso Moderno Duo has commissioned over 100 lyrical works for solo bass and piano by some of the world's most prominent and exciting living composers.  Composers from 35 countries and all seven continents have written specifically for Dr. Allan Von Schenkel's virtuosic and individualized manner of playing. Kristen Williams' piano playing is a perfect complement to the intense voice of the solo bass. Williams is a focused musician who is able to share her devotion to the piano with the listener. Their program is designed to delight and surprise audiences with a combination of lush sounds, tasteful writing and lyricism.

Katya, a native of Quito Ecuador, is known for being a master in evoking the deepest emotions of the human spirit through her work and radiant personality. She has captured the essence of the land of the vertical sun and has used her talent as a tool to transport the observer to the artists’ homeland.

 

Katya Romero's work include sculptures, ceramics, paintings, mixed media and digital art. Her many years of digital work has established her taste for texture and color, portrayed by the presence of elements that, when contrasted with textures and shapes worked digitally, manage to give the pieces a very particular fantastic sense. Her various works reflect life and death, love and sensuality, nature and spirit, awakening one’s mind to the carnival of colors which are her inspiration.
