Coffee Bar partners to raise money for Children’s Therapy Unit

Coffee Bar, located in the heart of downtown Puyallup, is one of six area coffee houses working with KieransList.com Difference Makers to raise $10,000 per month for the Unit. It works by visitors printing out a coupon and presenting it when they purchase a drink at one of the participating locations. That business then donates $1 per coupon to Children's Therapy at the end of the month. "It just makes sense" Coffee Bar owner, Shaun Nestor, says, "local people who are supporting local business, who are supporting a local charity. That's what community is about" The Difference Makers program encourages one person to refer 10 others to the program, who will refer 10 others to use their coupons. "This has the potential of being huge" Kieran Murry says. Murry, the owner and operator of KieransList.com notes no one is getting rich off of this – except the charity. "People buy coffee everyday, why not tell these businesses "hey, I want one of my dollars to help support CTU?" Murry has already seen an unexpected response to the program. "We met our goal the first week of the program." Coupons can be used as often as you want, Murry encourages visitors to print out a new coupon for each visit. "Are you a regular coffee drinker? If you get a coffee drink every morning 5 days a week that could be $20 for the kids just from your support. Imagine 1,000 or 10,000 people doing the same thing."
