Managers of Scammed Companies Issue Public Statements to Investors
Lola Emter of Courtside Products and BJ Davis of Beverly Hills Film Studios issue open letters to stockholders, regarding recent convictions for fraud involving their companies.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) November 16, 2007 --
In light of recent convictions of Michael Paloma and his associates for felony stock fraud, managers of victim companies are starting to speak out about the fraud perpetrated against their companies. Lola Emter of Courtside Products recently issued an announcement, explaining the reasons behind the company's SEC suspension due to Paloma's actions.
BJ Davis, former President of Beverly Hills Film Studios, issued the following statement, stating in part" For years I've maintained my silence, in the interests of all investors who believed in me and Beverly Hills Film Studios. Unfortunately, my point of view is not shared by some of my former associates. I have been vilified, slandered and defamed to the point that would be intolerable to any reasonable person. Baseless accusations against me are continually made by the very persons responsible for the acts I am unfairly being blamed for. These allegations are untrue and malicious. I simply have no other choice but to protect my name and reputation from vicious public attacks... I started the company with the goal of making quality films with solid box office potential. Unfortunately, where I saw multimillion dollar profit earnings potential for a film production company, others saw multimillion dollar potential for stock abuse... Needless to say, as soon as I discovered that the company and names of legitimate filmmakers were being exploited for illegal stock manipulations, I immediately demanded that all such activities stop. As you can clearly discern, not only was I not involved in the reverse split, stock issuance and sales and any related activities, but I actively attempted to stop these actions. My adamant resistance to the plans of these unscrupulous individuals resulted in a staged "takeover" of the company, as my resistance to stock fraud apparently stood in a way of making millions. My only fault was to trust the wrong individuals, whose overwhelming greed swallowed the great potential of the company I started and took advantage of my kind-hearted aspirations to help those I considered to be my friends. I will reserve further statements for an appropriate legal forum. I can't rewrite the past, but I will make absolutely certain that my position is finally heard in the future."
