United States of America (Press Release) November 17, 2007 --
Today, I know more than a few couples that get married, with the mind-set of; "lets give it a shot and if it doesn't work out no big deal." That's not really my understanding of marriage. You see, I married pretty young. You know, care-free attitudes about most things in life, conquer the world, and all that good stuff.
Well, what I found was that most of that cavalier kind of attitude, especially when it comes to your own marriage is B*ullSh*t!! To toss away, the person that has filled all those empty places inside of you.., because things got a little bumpy. It's almost criminal. I'd like to think that if I had a little more age, at the time, a little more knowledge, things would have worked out differently. And maybe I could have saved my marriage.
So many people are worried about how it looks--how they look, while their marriage is going down the tubes.., unwilling to give-in, or whatever the case may be, in order to save the marriage. It's more than just being stubborn. You can get by stubborn. It's being afraid to reach-out to your spouse and maybe not being met with the response you were hoping for, or just assumed we'd get. And there goes saving the marriage.
It's fear. It's almost always fear. Im pretty sure someone said we do most things out of fear. I don't know about that.., but when it comes to saving your marriage fear is right up at the top. C'mon, how could you not be afraid of losing your spouse forever. And than, on the other hand, you're afraid to actually do something about it, and being rejected. You can get stuck, in that head--"damned if you do, damned if you don't", kind of thing. Well, I can ashore you, you will be way more damned if you don't, just because you were afraid. Saving your marriage is worth a lot more...
Trust me when I tell you; that first morning you wake-up all alone is a lot scarier than your spouse ever was... And if there were kids involved, you start thinking about, if the highest rooftop in the neighborhood is high enough to do the job.
Now that's scary!!! I guess what Im trying to say here is that I've done tons of research on the subject; seminars, retreats, blah, blah, blah.... And I've got to tell you I've gained a lot of insight.., a little to late for my own marriage. But definitely not for yours. If you have marriage issues that are constantly on your mind, you've got to take action and do something. An amazing resource that I was recently introduced to, you can check it out with the link down below, practically guarantees results. Now, what kind of results is up to you.., but at least you will be taking a step in the right direction. Don't just sit there and watch your marriage fall apart. It's not fun, I know.
