France, French Republic (Press Release) December 2, 2007 -- With great regret, Star International had to accept the cancellation of the “Happy Birthday Tour” concert, planned for Thursday 22 November 2007, Arena, Geneva The financial structure of the promoter, "Double Détente Productions", 19A rue de la Croix d'Or, CH - 1204 Genève,(David LANDE, Matthieu BRUDO and Gilles BRUDO), is seriously in question, in jeopardy through the incompetence and lack of seriousness placing a question on the capabilities of David LANDE, Matthieu and Gilles BRUDO to promote such a concert, as much as for project, as for finance management. Payments due under Contract, notably concerning the Artist’s fees etc were not met.Other Contractual Conditions,very serious legal requirements concerning publicity were not respected either.Another lack of seriousness : the poster campaign only really took effect two weeks before the show's date. Fundemental error having direct effect on pre-bookings.Obviously, no real communication work had been done. The Major event, “FOIRE DE GENEVE”, “plastered” all over the city, “eluded” the eyes of Double Détente Productions, (David LANDE, Matthieu BRUDO, Gilles BRUDO), who, of course, had made no approach to promote through this media, event with an expected attendance of 300,000. The lack of professionalism, the mis-handling of this event, the incompetence and negligence of the said David LANDE, Matthieu BRUDO and Gilles BRUDO is obvious, as is the inevitable result of such an attitude. Public communication practically non-existent results in : No significant “pre-bookings”.Double Détente Productions, (David LANDE, Matthieu BRUDO, Gilles BRUDO) suffered a bitter flop in October, again at Arena, Geneva, with their promotion “Generation 80”. Hopes of recovering their large losses were pinned on “Happy Birthday Tour” but without putting in the means and ways that are necessary for success.Interesting that Double Détente Productions’ own web-site announces to this day the show “Generation 80”, which took place as far back as October 18th. There has never been, any mention of “Happy Birthday Tour ”. Obvious crucial negligence and lack of professionalism and seriousness, giving one the right to ask the question were the actions, or non-actions, of the David LANDE, Matthieu BRUDO and Gilles BRUDO not voluntary, to arrive at an inevitable concert cancellation. Star International, at the express demand of David LANDE, had arranged for Double Détente Productions, (David LANDE, Matthieu BRUDO and Gilles BRUDO) the possibility of having Johnny Hallyday as a guest at this concert. Priceless gift, Johnny did not figure on the Signed Contract. Star International also negotiated reduced ticket prices for Johnny’s Fan Club.Incredibly, Matthieu BRUDO decided to deny his own invitation on the Fan Club’s Web Site “Johnny 14”, losing any possible ticket sales by this excellent means.Though Matthieu BRUDO’s error had been pointed out verbally in a meeting, Thursday 8th November and that it had been decided that he would take immediate action to correct this false information and announce that Johnny had been invited to the concert, at no moment did Matthieu BRUDO, nor David LANDE, nor Gilles BRUDO, of Double Détente Productions take any steps to correct this error, no, this lie.Double Détente Productions, through David LANDE, “proposed” that Star International “procure” Medical Certificates for certain Artists, in order to “claim” on their cancellation insurance. Star International, of course, refused categorically. Star International do not participate in fraud.David LANDE, Matthieu BRUDO and Gilles BRUDO of Double Détente Productions recently announced to Star International by telephone that payments due under the contract signed in September would not be made threatening to put their company into liquidation.
Star International had, unfortunately, no alternative other than to accept the cancellation.We are sincerely sorry for those who had already bought their tickets and seriously advise them to claim a full and total refund.Star International, and all the Artists they represent express their profound regrets for this cancellation directly linked to the negligence, incompetence and breaking of Contract by David LANDE, Matthieu BRUDO and Gilles BRUDO representing Double Détente Productions. Even today, Star International has received no Official communication from Double Détente Productions, nor from David LANDE, nor from Matthieu BRUDO nor from Gilles BRUDO, personally, concerning the cancellation of this concert, despite a Contract having been signed between Star International representing the artists and Double Détente Productions Matthieu BRUDO, David LANDE, and Gilles BRUDO as promoters.Matthieu BRUDO, Double Détente Productions, issued a “Press Release”, announcing the cancellation of not only the “Happy Birthday Tour”, but also of another show, for November 25th, in Geneva.“Coloricocola”, likewise produced and promoted by Double Détente Productions was also cancelled... Reason? ... “Lack of Ticket Sales”.In the space of just one month, in the same city, Geneva, three shows produced and promoted by Double Détente Productions are victims of ... “Lack of Ticket Sales” ...Bad luck ? ... Incompetence? … Negligence ?Voluntary Action ? For what reason ?Whatever it is, David LANDE, Matthieu BRUDO and Gilles BRUDO (Double Détente Productions) should answer personally for the cancellation of the “Happy Birthday Tour” Concert. Not uninteresting is that David LANDE is shown to be Head of another Swiss company, “MEDIA MOOV’ SARL”, Geneva, set up for “Promotion and Publicity Support” ... Exactly what was not done for the “Happy Birthday Tour” concert...Another very interesting fact : Gilles BRUDO, who presented himself as “Financial Expert”, is also ... the father of Matthieu BRUDO...Do we not then have every right to ask ourselves certain questions ...We sincerely hope that no-one else suffers from the negligence, lack of professionalism, incompetence, but above all from the lack of honesty shown by the said David LANDE, Matthieu and Gilles BRUDO representing Double Détente Productions.Star International, is at the service of all who wish further information regarding this sad event.
