United States of America (Press Release) December 4, 2007 --
Annapolis, MD – November 29, 2007 – BOMI International today announced that Jeffrey A. Horn has been named president and CEO. Horn, former president and CEO of the Somerset County Business Partnership (SCBP) in New Jersey, succeeds Mark Boehnlein, interim president and CEO during the executive search and BOMI International Board of Trustee member. The new executive appointment will become effective in mid-January.
As a recognized association and business leader, Horn brings more than 30 years of association, management and real estate experience to BOMI International.
"After a lengthy, thorough and professional selection process, comparing both internal and external candidates against our criteria for the position, I am pleased to announce the decision of the BOMI Board of Trustees to select Jeff Horn as the company's next president and CEO,” said Dennis Adams, Chairman of the BOMI Board of Trustees. “His extensive management background and vision for professional education complement the efforts that BOMI is making in defining our leadership position in the education of building professionals. Jeff is exactly the right leader for BOMI,” adds Adams.
“His strong management experience will help shape BOMI as we continue our growth and international expansion,” says Sherry Hewitt, BOMI chief operating officer and CFO.
Prior to his position at SCBP, Horn served as executive vice president of Newark Sports and Entertainment Inc., the development arm of the former partnership between the New York Yankees and the New Jersey Nets formed to develop a basketball/hockey arena in Newark, New Jersey. Horn was previously vice president of land planning and development with the Matrix Development Group, and held positions with the New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, Bellemead Development Corporation and the State of New Jersey.
