United States of America (Press Release) December 4, 2007 --
WATERBURY, CONN. (December 4, 2007) – The Town of Enfield, Connecticut, is one of a select few municipalities around the country cited by the Center for Digital Government for excellence in using technology to create a seamless environment between local government and its constituents.
Using tools built by QScend Technologies, Inc., including QContent for website content management, QAlert for managing citizen service requests, and QPayments, for enabling citizens to pay a variety of bills and fees online, Enfield finished fourth in the 30,000 to 74,999 population category.
"This year’s winners have really raised the bar for cities," said Cathilea Robinett, executive director for the Center for Digital Government. "Digital technology connects citizens with their government on a level never before achieved."
The Digital Cities Survey is open to all U.S. cities and consolidated city/county governments with a population of 30,000 or more. Respondent cities are classified into four size-based categories. The top 10 in each category earn recognition.
"We congratulate Enfield on its award and its desire to build stronger citizen/government relationships," said Keith LeBeau, President of QScend Technologies. "We're proud to be able to offer Enfield easy-to-use, web-based tools for its top-notch e-government initiatives."
