United States of America (Press Release) December 5, 2007 --
Barbados, WI. December 2007. Holy Hill Productions Film Preview for the
upcoming documentary film, "This Far By Faith: Barbados Centenarians,"
will premiere this week during the first annual Barbados International
Film Festival(BIFF) in Barbados, WI. BIFF celebrates films and filmmakers
from around the world, Dec. 5 - 9.
Award-winning filmmaker, Cassandra Hollis wrote, produced and directed the
film which highlights the issue of centenarians in Barbados who rank as
the second highest per capita number of centenarians in the world. Edited
by Craig Tollis, the preview of, "This Far By Faith: Barbados
Centenarians," gives a candid look at the super seniors and their take on
how they have lived so long. It also features comments from R&B singer,
Billy Ocean, who had his own ideas of why some Barbadians, born at the
turn of the last century, have lived so long.
Cassandra will appear at BIFF among other filmmakers screening films at
the fest. "This film is an opportunity to celebrate the fact that Barbados
has a high number of centenarians as noteworthy as any of the other
celebrated regions, such as Okinawa, Japan. I was amazed that each one of
them who are featured in the preview credit their faith as being the main
key to their longevity," she said.
