“Marie Curie” Association, Plovdiv, Bulgaria launched “Social Employers Network” (SEN). It brings together companies and organisations with active social policies, targeted towards their employees and other people at a disadvantage. The Network is developed with the financial support of “Leonardo da Vinci” Programme of the European Commission. The main goal is to support and encourage employers into recruitment and retention of people with disabilities and disadvantaged. Within the Network there will be exchange of good practices and experience in work with these target groups, shared by members from all over Europe.
How does the Network function? This is an informal unit, linking together employers, employers’ organisations and NGOs, positive towards people with disabilities and disadvantaged and interested in their work potential. The contacts between network members are kept mainly online by an interactive platform, available on: http://www.disadvantaged-employment.eu/ . Here registered members can use a set of informational resources, including national and European legislation, useful links, documents, news, etc.
Who can be a member of SEN? Membership is open free of charge for companies in different economic sectors, NGOs, educational institutions and training organisations, intermediaries and state institutions. Applying for membership is easy – just fill in an application form, uploaded on the official website of the network.
