United States of America (Press Release) December 6, 2007 --
WHERE IS CAT? is the latest book release from author Carolyn R Scheidies. WHERE IS CAT? is a first chapter Christmas book about a young girl who struggles with self-worth because of her limitations. Along comes a very special cat that not only leads the family a merry chase, but also shows the family, and Casey, what being special is all about. Besides, special things happen at Christmas, don’t they?
WHERE IS CAT? can be read alone, read in a classroom setting, or used in library readings. It can become part of a nap or bedtime ritual or a weekly family night. This book with the hilarious illustrations of Lori Z Scott, author of the Meghan Rose series for kids http://www.meghanroseseries.com, melds laughter and learning and fun. However, this book offers more than a Christmas story, it offers the message of hope that each child, each person, is special and worthy of love.
The book also offers a chance for young readers to write and send their own stories with possible publication at the WHERE IS CAT? Web page http://idealinhope.com/author/cat.html.
Carolyn R. Scheidies is a working journalist with a degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She’s had over two-dozen novels published, several of which garnered writing awards. Her published credits include children’s stories and children’s program material to a variety of publications for over 30 years. Scheidies was involved with the local public library "Friends of the Library" organization for years in both president, past-president and director capacities where she worked with the TRACE (To Reach a Child Early) program for new mothers. She worked with PUPS--a church puppet team for years, has taught all ages in Sunday School, been a nursery supervisor, and was director of the KEFC Pioneer Club program for several years after being on the committee for some ten years.
