United States of America (Press Release) December 8, 2007 -- BUTTE DAREDEVILS TO CARRY EVEL KNIEVEL FUNERAL SERVICE


December 7, 2008…Butte, MT. The Butte Daredevils announced today that they will carry the Evel Knievel funeral services for legendary daredevil Evel Knievel from his hometown of Butte, Montana.

Coverage of the Evel Knievel funeral services will begin live Monday, December 10, 2007 at 7:00 AM (MST) from the Butte Civic Center on www.buttedaredevils.com via Web Television Network. Viewing of the body, memorable events displays, headstone viewing and memorabilia exhibits coverage will be from 7:00 AM until 10:30 AM. The actual funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM. The burial will bee in a family plot at Mountain View Cemetery.

The televangelist Reverend Robert Schuller of California’s Crystal Cathedral will officiate the ceremonies. Many famous friends of Evel will be in attendance at the funeral services. “Smoking” Joe Frazier retired former heavyweight boxing champion, actor Matt McConaughey and longtime producer and director of “Wide World of Sports” Doug Wilson are expected to attend the services.

Evel Knievel became famous for his death-defying stunts, including motorcycle jumps over the fountains at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas and the Snake Rive Canyon in Idaho.
