New York, NY December 09, 2007 - Gold Place Network LLC is a proud major sponsor of THE HEART OF WINTER: A MUSICAL FUNDRAISER for "Education Through Music, Inc." which will take place on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 from 6:00PM to 10:00PM at Cafe Metro 14 East 42nd St Lower Level, New York, NY 10007. The event will be a musical journey which will highlight up and coming new artists Julie Figueroa, Remebering August, Shell Zimet, Chris Sheppard, Mike Grabow, Olatayo, LaLa, Dennis Williams, Rah Grizzly, Britton Jones and more. This will be an exciting evening of great food, music, gift bag and a silent auction to benefit New York's public and Catholic school children.
Education Through Music makes music education a reality for thousands of children who would otherwise have limited or no exposure to the arts. Since 1991, ETM has harnessed the power of music to enhance the academic performance and general development of its students. Education Through Music, Inc. (ETM) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation dedicated to bringing comprehensive music instruction to 8000 inner-city children.
Gold Place Network LLC is sponsoring this fundraising event to help Education Through Music continue their mission of a sustainable integration of music into the school curricula - including reading, social studies, math and science of elementary and middle schools in order to enhance students' academic performance and general development. ETM's unique methodology engenders systemic changes in teaching practices that help children learn, think and socialize better through the use of music education in our schools.
