Livingston County Ron Paul supporters join thousands across the country in taking to the streets on

(Free-Press-Release.com) December 12, 2007 -- BRIGHTON, MI -- Livingston County for Ron Paul, a meet-up organization designed to create awareness and support for 2008 Presidential Candidate Ron Paul will be teaming up with thousands of Ron Paul supporters across the country on Saturday, December 15 in commemoration of National Bill of Rights Day.

Congressman Dr. Ron Paul, (R- Texas) has inspired local residents along with countless others to re-examine the way our government is operated. One of the group’s organizers Matt Letten believes, “America has gotten away from following the Constitution and from protecting the rights of individuals, as expressed in the Bill of Rights. From unreasonable searches and seizures to warrantless wire tapping, we believe the federal government has over stepped its boundaries into the lives of the same private citizens it has been called to protect.”

Supporters plan to gather on the sidewalk in front of Meijer on Grand River in Brighton this Saturday at 2 pm. They will be waving signs, American Flags, and working to create awareness for their cause.

In addition to the happenings on Saturday, Sunday, December 16 is the 224th birthday of the Boston Tea Party, which arguably sparked the American Revolution. On This day Ron Paul supporters will be attempting to raise over 10 million dollars in only 24 hours. This following their previous single day fundraiser on November 5, where they raised over 4.2 million. All of this is being organized at http://www.teaparty07.com.

Livingston County for Ron Paul is a group that was founded months ago on Meetup.com, a website created to bring people with like minds together.
