United States of America (Press Release) December 13, 2007 --
I have already told in my profile that I had a medical trip to India and I am sharing its memories with all of you.
I had a hernia trouble last year in 2006 and it all started in the month of october 11 after I had returned back from the marraige anniversary of my elder sister who stayed at new jersey. My abdomen had started to display a bulging and its muscles became weak, I started having pain after having a full diet meals at night, in the beginning I considered it to be a slight pain but ultimately I saw that the matter was a serious one I experienced great trouble even during a slight coughing, lifting slight heavy objects and bowel, after adjusting myself for a week I went to a doctor of my native city Dr.Powell who had earned a good name for diagnosis and curing troubles related to the stomach. I met him at his clinic and he made a diagnosis and told me to come the next day, I resumed my meeting with him and he predicted that I had a hernia trouble and it would require a laproscopic hernia surgery for recovery. Mr Powell also told me that Hernia treatment involved some risks during the method of mesh repair as one was likely to experience post surgery pain but the updated method of a laproscopic surgery was without any such complications. He further continued that this surgery was a safe one when performed by specialists in this field.
I had no problem with undergoing the surgery so I asked about the medical expenditure and I was told that the medical costs of the surgery would be 3200$ U.S, I had no trouble in paying the medical price and I assured the doctor of reporting back with my consent for the surgery within 2 days. My elder sister Rubina called me on phone the same evening and I told her of my case and the medical costs required to be paid, rubina suggested " my dear
you are very fond of travelling then why dont you go to a place where you can refresh yourself by meeting new people along with the medical treatment at a less cost." I asked her where can I get such a facility and she replied that I can consult my doctor or I can get access to any reputed medical tourism company.
Rubina also suggested me a name Indian Healthguru and assured me to get the best possible help and guidance from this medical tourism company. I decided to have a talk with the company so I visited it's website on the net and e-mailed my case details to it, the next morning I recieved a follow up phone call from the medical tourism company being told that they had recieved all the details of my case and a laproscopic hernia surgery could be arranged at India at an affordable price of 890$ U.S with all the best medical care and lodging facilities, the company also offered me to provide a thrilling and exciting tourist holiday package to interesting places in India if I was willing to get it.
I found the offer to be very beneficial as I also got a chance to visit India and know about its cultural heritage. I completed all the documentation process with the medical tourism company under the guidance of Dr.Powell and came to India at the Mumbai airport with the reservation that was already arranged for me by the people of Indian Healthguru I had no trouble at all because the people of the healthcare group had come to recieve me with a warm and cheerful welcome they spoke with me in a clear and fluent english suited to international English standards that any person from any country could talk to them easily.
After introducing themselves to me in a friendly and cordial manner they arranged a luxurious car for me that took me to a hotel and I was told that all the people coming to Mumbai preferred to halt here as they gave credits to the modern facilities available at the hotel for lodging. In the reception hall the hotel manager recieved me and made arrangements for me in a room at the third floor, I entered my room and found the place to be very comfortable and cosy one with the best beddings and furnitiure, the sanitary ware in the bathroom was magnificent moreover the window of my room refreshed me by dispaying the site of the beautiful sea beach of India that was right in front of the hotel. I preferred to have the dinner at night in my room and the hotel staff had no problem in it. I got a choice of having continental, chinese and indian food, I had already tasted all kinds of continental and chinese food stuff now I decided to try Indian food and really enjoyed eating Indian breads made of millet also called "roti" with Indian oil fried supper which is called "dal" among the Indian masses.
The vegetable stuff of indian food was quite spicy and oily, it was tasty indeed and different from the food of our native place that gave importance to eat less oil, spices and salt. I slept comfortably at night and had a friendly talk with the Indian hotel staff who could speak well in english. I got a glimpse of the hospitable and friendly nature of Indian people with that talk. At ten"o" clock in the morning one representative of the medical tourism company came to meet me and he told me that the laproscopic hernia surgery has been arranged for me at an associated hospital of Mumbai on the next day at afternoon , The next day I reached and met the surgeon of the associated hospital by using the Tata safari car arranged for me by the hotel. The surgeon told me that there was nothing to worry as the treatment would be completed on the same day, I was treated and operated by giving an anesthesia to avoid pain.
By 4"0" clock in the evening I resumed to conciousness and was told by the medical nurses that the operation was done within 1 hour. The doctor came to meet me at 9"0"clock at night and after a medical observation he told me that the laproscopic hernia surgery was complete and I could return home the very next day, but I was required to relax and take rest for 1-2 weeks. But I preferred to take a visit of the Indian tourist spots during the period of 1-2 weeks and I talked to the people of the medical tourism company and they offered to arrange a holiday tour at the cultural cities of Banglore and Mysore, Banglore in my opinion is the most technologically advanced city of India due to the growth of IT sector there, moreover it was interesting to note that the highest number of credit card users were found to be in Banglore, and they used it even to hire a taxi and buy a coffee and cold drink. After staying and moving aroun d the high tech city of banglore for three days I went to Mysore which was considered to be a city of rich cultural heritage in the whole south indian peninsula.I was facinated to see the magnificent palace of Mysore and the karanji lake of Mysore. I stayed at Mysore uptil the Indian festival of Diwali an occassion on which people decorate their homes with lights,After visiting Banglore and Mysore I returned Mumbai and met my doctor who gave me a laproscopic hernia surgery for asking the necessary precautions and he suggested me to avoid work that laid pressure and stress on my abdomen. I came back to U.S on the same evening after having a farewell meeting arranged for me by the members of Indian Healthguru. I started showing signs of recovery just after 8 days and I intimated about it to my doctor in India. Today I am completely free from my hernia disorder and I am sincerely grateful to the medical staff of India who treated me so well at an affordable low cost.
