Texas School of Sleep Medicine & Technology is involved in the A-STEP program developed by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine . This program is designed to train individuals in the practice of polysomnography technology. There has been a dramatic increase in the number of sleep lab facilities throughout the United States and the number of adequately trained individuals to perform and evaluate the studies has not kept pace. Texas School of Sleep Medicine offers the student an incredible opportunity to become familiar with all facets of the field of Sleep Medicine.
Dr. James M. Andry is the founder of the Texas School of Sleep Medicine & Technology and its Medical Director. Dr. Andry has been a private practicing physician with extensive clinical and teaching experience for the past 18 years. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board Sleep Medicine. He has additional certification in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Andry is currently on Clinical Faculty at the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Allied Health in San Antonio. Dr. Andry is founder and Medical Director of the Sleep Therapy & Research Center , an accredited member sleep center of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine .
