EVT Launches 2.5D Live Video Maps Feature, Providing Intuitive Navigation and Improved Site Perspective to Surveillance Personnel
Revolutionary 2.5D Live Video Maps GUI Dramatically Improve Site Monitoring and Control, Eliminate Geographical Navigation Complexities
Israel, December 17, 2007 – EVT, a developer of video management software, today announced the latest enhancement to its video surveillance solutions for the security market – 2.5D Live Video Maps. The 2.5D Live Video Maps GUI provides users with a unique alternative to the traditional fixed size multi-map tools commonly found in video management applications. This intelligent interactive navigation tool improves operator’s orientation, shortens response time and contributes to an overall efficiency enhancement of a video surveillance system.
The 2.5D Live Video Maps provide improved visualization and mapping capabilities, via an integrated zoomable map with X / Y axis navigation, camera live video preview overlay, linked maps hyperlinks with preview images and customized view presets. These capabilities allow instant access to select map sections at a predefined zoom level. The 2.5D Live Video Maps module was developed based on extensive market studies gathered from the world's leading system integrators.
The module is a complementary feature to the video wall and multi-screen display of EVT's Vertex system, a video management and network video recording solution for large-scale surveillance deployments enabling management and control of live and recorded video while seamlessly integrating analogue and digital video components.
"In designing the 2.5D Live Video Maps our goal was to develop a video management solution that is as easy to use as possible, with controls and functionality built to reflect the way security personnel really think and work, enabling shorter response time, greater efficiency and accuracy," said David Keidar, general manager of EVT. "We have received enthusiastic feedback from selected customers that were chosen to try out the new module on their networked video management systems."
